A 35-year-old Ghanaian man has allegedly defiled a 3-year-old girl leaving her extensively damaged after abusing her on three occasions.
The mother of the child, Ama, narrating the sad occurrence to ZionFelix in an interview said, about two weeks ago after she had finished bathing the child, she complained of painful urination and when she probed her, the toddler said the colleague (Akwesi) had touched her private area.
Ama told ZionFelix that after she checked if the allegation leveled against the man was true, she discovered that, the toddler’s private area was extremely injured.
According to the woman, the child deformed strangely. She said,“Dora’s private part was severely damaged, she kept complaining of pains whenever she tries to urinate, I asked her why and she told me Akwesi had tempered with her vagina”.
“I was very scared when she told me because she is too little to experience that, I rushed to my madam (Pat) the owner of the bar where I worked and she didn’t believe me”.
“When I told her everything, the woman denied it, saying her employee can never do such a thing but we should hold on and confirm from the accused. After Akwesi was consulted he also denied it claiming he loves the girl and he can never do such a thing to her”.
The toddler’s mother was then given a report by the police to take her child to the hospital and it was confirmed that the child has been defiled for 3 times.
“After the matter was sent to the Kwabenya Police station, I went to the hospital and the doctor told me, three-year-old Dora has been defiled. He told me the examination uncovered that the toddler had been severely sexually assaulted”, the tearful mother, Ama told ZionFelix.
She further added that one of her colleagues at work earlier told her to be observant of the child because she has seen the man rubbing his hand around the girl which led to his manhood getting arouse but she ignored because of how good the man was to the child.
She said, after her employer confronted the man, he confessed defiling her daughter but pleaded with them not to report to the police to arrest him but she still reported it.
“The accused then fled after the police went to his house to arrest him so the police went to my madam’s husband to threaten to arrest him if he doesn’t provide the whereabouts of Akwesi”.
"I decided to quit my job because my madam was acting awfully towards me for bringing the police to arrest the accused. After I complained about her quietness and change of attitude, she also pounced and beat me heavily”, she added.
